AN OUTSTANDIND EVENT !

After having successfully organized 6 years (starting in 2004) of the “Montgolfiades” (a hot air balloon championship) in Dole, the GRAND DOLE urban community, Cameron Balloons France, and its partners have decided to create a unique event for 2010. Selected in may 2009 by the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI), GRAND DOLE will host the World Hot Air Airship Championship, at Dole-Jura airport, from the 13th to 18th of July 2010. This will be the 9th edition of this world-class championship following the previous edition organized in Saint-Petersburg in 2008. A truly extraordinary event that our planning comity has be preparing for several months!
 

A RECORD NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS ! 

Competition on this year’s edition of the Airship World Championship is going to be sturdy. 12 nations and 21 flying crews from around the world are lining up for the world title. The best pilots will be in Dole-Tavaux and we can already mention the involvement of all final three of 2008’s edition in St Petersburg : Jacques-Antoine Besnard (Switzerland, triple world champion), Nikolay Galkin (Russia, vice-world champion) et Eckardt Koerner (Germany, bronze medalist). Grand Dole is about to experience the most disputed world championships ever organized. Suspense at a whole new level… Come and join us from the 13th to the 18th of July 2010 !
